I had misunderstood how my web host deals with emails that come through my domain. As a result I kept on running out of space on my site, and my mail wasn’t getting delivered, even though I didn’t seem to have lots of mail cluttering up the place.

Their technical support department is obviously staffed by real techies, so you get curt responses, but they usually answer your real question instead of making you jump through lots of hoops. I got an answer this morning that I thought (contrary to past experience) was rubbish, because I knew what was going on with my email server, didn’t I? After all, I’ve had the site for about eight years.


I just freed up 32MB of space.

Just goes to show what a little humility and the correct information can do for you.
